MANILA, PHILIPPINES – adidas Philippines makes history with the release of its first-ever Filipino player-edition basketball shoe: the Adizero Select 3.0 “KQ63”, a bold and meaningful collaboration between collegiate basketball standout Kevin Quiambao and internationally renowned toy designer and streetwear artist Quiccs.

One of the fastest rising stars in the country and this generation as a whole, KQ63 aims to be a reflection of KQ’s athlete journey so far – from the courts of his hometown of Muntinlupa to the grand stages of Korea – and even what continues to lie ahead for him. At the helm of the partnership is Quiccs in yet another collaboration with adidas and helping bring KQ’s story to life through the footwear.

“It’s been a privilege to have played a part in this player edition footwear, and it has served as one of the biggest inspirations for me to keep working and playing hard on the court. adidas has been one of my biggest supporters from the start, so I’m very excited to be a part of this collaboration with both adidas and Quiccs as I continue my journey as an athlete,” shares Quiambao.

While KQ has ushered in the wave of the next generation of elite athletes with his skill and tenacity on the court, so has Quiccs made and continues to make his own impact in art – locally and globally. Through his signature character TEQ63, Quiccs has crafted an identity and style unique to him – blending his passions of Japanese robots, hip-hop, and graffti to leave his influence in every line, in every stroke.

The “KQ63” colorway features a striking neon pink base with crisp white stripes, merging KQ’s favorite color to wear on-court with Quiccs’ signature street-meets-mecha aesthetic. The design is rich with personal touches, including custom logos and illustrations of both KQ and Quiccs on the heels and insoles—symbols of national pride and creative synergy.

“Having been able to work with adidas the last six years, it continues to be an accomplishment to collaborate, and especially now more so with Kevin Quiambao who has proven himself to be a generational talent. I feel very honored not only to have worked with him but also to have another opportunity to represent Filipino artistry once more with adidas," says Quiccs of the collaboration.

Built on the Adizero Select 3.0 silhouette, the lightweight low-cut shoe is engineered for elite performance with:

  • Lightstrike cushioning for explosive speed and agility
  • Breathable textile upper for all-game comfort
  • Unique “KQ63” detailing, blending KQ’s story with Quiccs’ iconic “63” call sign

The KQ63 colorway made its global debut on the NBA stage, worn by Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green, who is of Filipino descent. He sported the pair during Filipino Heritage Night, a fitting tribute that underscored the cultural pride and representation behind the design. His appearance in the KQ63s helped shine a spotlight on Filipino identity and the growing influence of local talent on the global basketball scene.

This release underscores adidas Philippines’ commitment to celebrating homegrown icons by bridging performance and culture through meaningful local collaborations.

“We are proud to support Kevin Quiambao and Quiccs—two powerful forces in Filipino sport and culture,” says Dave Sexton, Country Manager of adidas Philippines. “The ‘KQ63’ colorway is a celebration of homegrown talent, passion, and creativity. This milestone marks a new chapter in championing local voices and inspiring the next generation of game-changers.”

The Adizero Select 3.0 “KQ63” will retail for Php 5,800 and will be available for early release on June 11, 2025 at FootLocker stores. General release will follow on June 12, 2025 at adidas stores, online at adidas.com.ph, the adidas App, and various retailers such as Planet Sports, Sports Central, and Toby’s Sports.
