By teaming up with SBP, EASL’s Future Champions program strengthens its grassroots mission to build a renowned platform for developing Asia’s next basketball stars

Hong Kong SAR — EASL’s Future Champions program has partnered with Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) — the official governing body for basketball in the Philippines — to launch EASL Future Champions Philippines.

“We’re incredibly excited about this partnership with SBP,” EASL Chief Executive Officer Henry Kerins said. “Its leadership, resources, and deep commitment to strengthening basketball in the Philippines across all levels make them the perfect partner to bring this ambitious vision to life. We’re honored to have SBP by our side as we work to make a lasting impact on youth basketball across Asia."

EASL Future Champions Philippines is split into two pillars: the Grassroots Program, which focuses on talent development camps and community engagement; and the Elite Program, a highly competitive, well-resourced track designed to elevate top-tier Asian grassroots talent through world-class coaching, international exposure, and long-term player development. The Elite Program is scheduled to begin in March 2026.

Together, these programs aim to create new opportunities for young Filipino athletes to reach the next level. EASL Future Champions Philippines has the tools, platform and ambition to help shift the landscape of youth basketball in Asia for the better.
