Kevin Quiambao On His Partnership With Adidas: 'I’m So Happy Na Nasa Kanila Ako'

Adidas Philippines recently released its first-ever PE or Player Exclusive edition of the Adizero Select 3.0 "KQ63" for Gilas Pilipinas forward Kevin Quiambao in collaboration with international toy designer and graffiti artist Quiccs last June.

The Adizero Select 3.0 "KQ63" PE is decked in a hot pink colorway with white and yellow accents. The lightweight lowcut silhouette sports a breathable mesh upper, Lightstrike cushioning, and also has Kevin Quiambao's "KQ" logo on the sneaker's left heel while Quiccs' signature logo can be found on the right heel.

For Quiambao, having his own adidas PE sneakers and representing the youth of the Philippines is a blessing.

"It feels surreal and I feel blessed na meron akong PE na sapatos and then to represent more na sa youth natin dito sa Pilipinas na merong bright future sila," Quiambao expressed after the practice session of Gilas Pilipinas at the Upper Deck Gym on Thursday.

The Goyang Sono Skygunners Asian import credited Quiccs for handling the overall design, especially taking note of his request to make the sneakers in a hot pink colorway.

"I think credits to Quiccs kasi siya yung naghandle all of that, lahat ng design," the former La Salle Green Archer said. "For the colors, pink yung pinili ko kasi, yun nga, bright color, and then nagrerepresent siya ng bright future for the younger generations in the Philippines."

The Adizero Select 3.0 KQ x Quiccs "KQ63" PE was worn by Jalen Green, now with the Phoenix Suns, during the NBA's Filipino Heritage Night in Houston.

With the success of the Adizero Select 3.0 "KQ63" PEs, Kevin Quiambao is happy to be a part of adidas and wants to represent the brand for his whole hoops career.

"I want to spend my whole career representing adidas," Quiambao said. "So yeah, I’m so happy na nasa kanila ako."
