Hong Kong SAR –  The Taoyuan Pauian Pilots have clinched Group A’s final spot in the EASL Final Four 2025 after defeating Hong Kong Eastern 87-61 in a must-win game for both sides. With the victory, Taoyuan improves to 4-2 in the regular season and secures a trip to Macau SAR for the Final Four.

The Pilots, who qualified for the 2024-25 EASL campaign after reaching the 2023-24 P. LEAGUE+ championship game, opened their debut season with a strong 3-0 start, winning by an impressive average margin of 24.3 points. However, they entered the matchup against Hong Kong on a two-game skid after back-to-back losses to Group A’s top seed, the Hiroshima Dragonflies. Facing elimination, Taoyuan responded with a decisive victory to punch its ticket to the Final Four.

Taoyuan’s berth also finalizes the second matchup for opening day, scheduled for March 7. As Group A’s No. 2 seed, the Pilots will take on the Ryukyu Golden Kings, Group B’s top seed. This marks the second consecutive EASL home-and-away season in which a P. LEAGUE+ team has advanced to the Final Four, following the New Taipei Kings' achievement in the inaugural 2023-24 season.

Set for March 7-9, EASL Final Four 2025 will award $1 million to the champion, $500,000 to the runner-up, and $250,000 for third place.
